Cognitive Walkthrough Definition

Cognitive Walkthrough

Cognitive Walkthrough is not a rocket science it refers to analyzing a website or application for critical moments that affect the user experience. In short, you conduct usability tests that describe the weakest aspects of your digital solution that can occur in user interaction to ace the hole. It’s an integral part of UX design and a killer when it comes to user experience.

In other words, we can call it a method in UX design that allows one to assess the interface of a solution. For example you can test a product and measure how the user interacts with the website — using simple questions to track how they inreact with your website. The leading goal you can accomplish by doing such a walkthrough is how useful your solution is to new users and whether or not they clearly understand elements of your journey.
