Fitts’ Law — complex even mathematical term that shall be calculated by the formula which simply indicates that the longer it takes to reach a target the bigger is the distance and the larger the target is, simultaneously you have to spend less time on reaching your point. Sounds simple but here’s tricky moment — you have to decide what’s better works for your particular situation.

When it comes to UX design, there is a simple point — the bigger is target, the better it is for your solution since users have to spend less time switching between different targets. You can implement any type of targets, for example, using icons, text, different sizes, your goal is to make it visible for users and reachable with minimum movements.
