Breadcrumbs Definition
Breadcrumb is the third type of secondary navigation menu that presents to the user his location in the site with regard to the site’s hierarchy and is meant as a help to find information. Listing on home page or site map alone will not do.
Breadcrumb trails help the users in knowing where they are positioned in a site. It’s been used for navigation, and if it’s built in the right way, it can help the users to know their position on the site and how they got there. Also, it can help to enable the user visits to his last location, and if trimming the giant clicks via that it would easy for him to access high level page. It helps people see precisely where they are on a given web page in terms of page structure because of these little navigational marks, hence assisting even Google in understanding how a is structured.
