Overview

A client reached out to us seeking to design and develop an online casino from the ground up. The overarching goal of the project was to create a platform that looks and feels truly unique on the market. Additionally, it had to provide a positive gaming experience that would appeal to the community.

During our partnership, we thoroughly researched the online casino sector to come up with exceptional branding based on an already established name. Our team worked on designing a distinctive cosmos theme and developing user-friendly functionalities that motivate players to come back again.

Results

In order to determine the optimal design strategy, we began with in-depth research to identify key user personas and map their journeys. These insights guided a UI/UX design that balanced aesthetics with ease of use, creating a smooth and engaging experience. Custom features like an agile reward system were introduced to match player behavior and build long-term engagement.

Galaxy Bingo now handles over 100,000 monthly users and supports 5,000+ concurrent sessions. Admins can launch new tournaments in under two minutes. Achievement mechanics increased player lifetime value by 37%, while real-time interactions helped boost user retention by 52%.

Information Architecture

Our team established an information architecture based on findings from user behavior research to help users navigate the platform with ease. As a result, we were able to arrange the content in a way that made sense for the user.

An event-driven architecture powers synchronous real-time gaming, with a back-end made of microservices handling transactions, leaderboards, matchmaking, authorization, and game logic. WRedis pub/sub controls load balancing and message propagation, while WebSocket (Socket.IO) facilitates instantaneous communication.

Functionality

Using a user-first methodology, we constructed features that are intended to captivate, educate, and thrill consumers as soon as they arrive on the site. Each piece was designed to be simple to use and convey a feeling of anticipation throughout the process.

Striking homepage and branding

On the homepage, users are met with a selection of the eight most popular games they can play right away or choose among several game categories that are present at the top. Concise page navigation also allows users to quickly look for a desired game via the search bar. All of this is accompanied by striking branding that revolves around a cosmic theme, captivating the players.

Effective live chat

Our team put effort into creating an impactful live chat that gives users the ability to communicate with other bettors, driving a competitive edge during and after the game. In addition, we developed a handy chatbot that can help out users anytime if they run into any issues or have questions regarding the platform.

Exciting rewards system

We focused on developing an exclusive rewards system called GalaxyWards that helps boost user retention on the platform. This system includes a wide variety of different incentives, including daily and weekly cash backs, rake backs based on the amount of wagers, as well as game-specific rewards. Our designers also created stunning planet illustrations for daily entries and returns.
