Data integrity at its core is referring to a consistency, accuracy and overall how complete and valid the data of a particular organization is. Over its life cycle and throughout its formats data integrity is allowing for maintenance and quality checks for preserving strong decision making process.

The importance of keeping up with data integrity is immeasurable as it poses a question of data security and preventing it from getting compromised. The causality of comprosimation may include both human and technical errors. In general some types under which data integrity is categorized including physical, logical, domain, user-defined integrity and more.
