Digital Definition

Digital is referring to any format of data which is recorded and stored using digital signals that are defined as a series of numbers like ones and zeros which indicates the presence or an absence of a signal. The strings of numbers are represented as bits of information that together form into letters, images, audio and more.

As opposed to analog which represent an ongoing stream of data the digital data is consisting of many combinations of samples with information confined within. In modern times digital is regarded as anything electronic such as a computer, online media, digital audio devices etc.
