Data Corruption Definition
Data corruption is an occurrence which happens in the case errors arise in the data of the computer specifically in its code, storage, transmission or processing events. In most instances data is corrupted when a certain file changes and becomes corrupted leaving it being unable to read, access or alter in any shape or form.
In a technical aspect a data file is corrupted in an event of it loosing its integrity and taking form of something that cannot be properly accessed or processed by a computer system. Some of the most common causations of corrupted data is including external viruses, hardware or software malfunction, power outages and more. In general some data files can be restored after corruption through the means of backup copies or integrity restoring algorithms.
