CRT

CRT is referring to a cathode-ray tube which is a vacuum tube which accommodates more than one electron guns with the purpose of emitting electron beams that ultimately are displaying images on the screen. This technology is used in a wide variety of screens from analog television sets to old-fashioned computer monitors.

The first ever cathode-ray tube was released last century in the years 1922 and has gradually evolved and improved over the decades. However with the emergence of modern technology the CRT has seen a major decline in popularity and the last manufacturer of this tech, Videocon, has seized the production in 2015.
