Bootstrap Definition
Bootstrap – is a software which loads at the time of the operating system. This was the bootstrap load button which was used to run the built-in bootstrap program or a smaller program which executed the larger program such as the OS. It checks the system for devises and hardwares and links for peripherial and hardware and external memory devises. Lastly, it then loads the bootstrap program in order to get the operating system started.
Such a bootstrapping could also be put up to stage a more complicated and a more user-friendly programming environment in an early manner such that it could build up the programming environment. Example, an early days programming environment consists of assembly language program only and some plain text editor.
