Electronic Media Definition
Electronic Media is devices for storing information and binary data. The computer made it possible to transform information from its usual form into electrical signals that are recorded on magnetic or optical media for storing, sharing, receiving and reproducing information.
The electronic media can be divided into such groups:
- Television hardware includes television sets, cameras, microphones and broadcast transmitters.
- Radio hardware includes radio transmitters, receivers, antennas and broadcasting systems.
- Internet hardware is considered to be computers, servers, routers, modems and networking devices.
- Computer storage media is one of the most popular ones regardless of peoples’ profession and activity. They are divided into three categories: magnetic (floopy magnetic disk, external hard disk, hard driver), optical(CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW etc discs) and flash drives.
