Diskette Definition
Diskette is more commonly referred to as a floppy disk. It is basically a storage device of square plastic case framing with an inner thin, flexible, disk-shaped film. It even includes a special lining of cloth which keeps away dust and protects the delicate disk from damage.
Floppy disks, as known, were the trends in yester years used for storing, reading, and writing digital information, and sharing too. This invention of IBM was a big deal back in the Late 20th century. It was later on replaced by contraptions of the time. The place of Floppy Disks within a techno-geek is rather sentimental for times that have become long since past. Thus, in reality, charmingly reminiscent of how far we’ve come when it concerns storing memory.
