Default Definition
Default – is the automatic value, setting, or option that will be assumed to apply in the absence of anything else having been specified. In many computing disciplines where nothing but clearer workflow would be realized, defaults usually aid interaction by the user in computer programs, operating systems, and user interfaces. It comes out every time when users do not stipulate their preferences and in cases the system runs into unspecified conditions.
The defaults may come from the broad context that even goes to default settings, configuration, format, permissions, and even default behavior for some actions. Defaults make the applications more user-friendly, taking work from the hands of the user for too much decision-making. People, however, should understand appropriate default settings in such a way that systems will not take them by surprise or make them wonder what is going on. So, settings should be open for any kind of changes according to the will and wishes of the users.
