Data Exception

Data exception is referring to an unwanted or an unprecedented event during which the execution of the software application or a program is disrupted. In general this is an error which obstruct the normal flow of the operation of the program as a runtime defect.

Data exceptions can in addition be created manually to flag data which is built on the basis of custom or standardized variables and functions. This technique could prove useful in software testing in order to identify and prevent incidents calcutaing the response times. In that case such a data exception could be marked with appropriate indicators.
