CAM Definition
CAM referring to a Computer-Aided Manufacturing means the technology that is used in software development or manual machinery that helps automate processes historically delegated to human workers. Allowing a computer to complete the work of manual labor stimulates the speed of production and eases the load off of workers.
Its distinct quality besides automation is the high precision and accuracy ultimately increasing the control overseeing the process. There are many commonly widespread uses of computer-aided manufacturing such as in milling, turning, laser cutting and electrical discharge to name a few.
