Bar Code

Bar code — a representation of data through a visual standpoint that can be read by a machine. It is illustrated as parallel lines of varying width, length and sizes done so in order to be read by a special optical scanner. As for the purpose it contains thorough information about a product such as its inventory number, type, pricing, to name a few.

Bar codes are in particular unique which allows the machine to scan it and retrieve needed information for a certain item without confusing it for something else. We can witness bar codes being all around us placed in practically all purchasable things which allows for larger system of tracking inventory and recording information about purchases.
